Motivation Monday, talk radio and the song to end all songs (for writers)
Any idea how badly I wanted to call this one Motherf*cking Motivation Monday?
Now you know.
So I’ve been covered in black paint and glitter most of the weekend. Not that way. (Pervert. I love that about you.) It’s Halloween prep time – a month ahead. Because Halloween is not just a holiday here. It’s a religious experience, sans pagans.
Anyway, I know how busy my life gets. I’m assuming you’re like me. Busy. I wanted to give you one last head’s up that applications for Burning Up the Pages: The Writing Mastermind close Wednesday. Because we start on Saturday.
What is it? I’m taking a group of 10 writers from Page One to The End of their books. Yes, we’re writing the whole damn thing – in 10 weeks. And I have a few experts coming in, as well as some surprises.
If you’re not sure we can get your book written, or you have questions other than those addressed on Is Burning Up the Pages: Writing Mastermind for me? then please email me at beckster7219 (at) gmail (dot) com.
I’m here to help.
And by help, I mean literally shape, shine and add sparkle to your words.
This Mastermind isn’t for everyone. But I believe in you, in your ability to write the book of your dreams. And I’d be thrilled to help you get there. It’s what gets me jazzed every day, actually.
Plus, this Mastermind is the only one of its kind.
And now, I’m going to get ready for my radio appearance with the badass Cynthia Neilson and May Pang. Come on over. (Call in and ask me tough questions. I dare ya.) We’ll be live at noon EDT today.
P.S. I don’t normally post music. But I heard this goddamn song (read: ear worm) and it’s become my unofficial “Writers, get off your ass” tune. Consider this a big, fat gift from me.
I’m serious. PLAY. IT.
Let your words be anything but empty.
Why don’t you tell them the truth?
Say what you want to say.
And let the words fall out.
