Venus is a Roman goddess who encompasses love, beauty, desire, sex, fertility, prosperity and victory.
In Roman mythology, she was the ancestor of the Roman people through her son, Aeneas, who survived the fall of Troy and fled to Italy. She is known as Aphrodite in Greek mythology.
Venus is a symbol of the Divine Feminine and was born of the water, and water is a metaphor for the female principal. Water receives, it takes in. It is abundance and creation. It is sensitive, psychic, adaptable. As women, as birthers, we are able to tap into the deep waters of creation and imagination.
