Full Moon Ritual – March 28th

Today’s Full Moon in Libra is also Opposite Venus.

It’s all about releasing old relationship patterns.

Libra is the ruler of the 7th house – the astrological house associated with marriage and partnerships (including business partnerships and clients). It’s the house of “we” and “us”.

The opposite house – where the Sun is currently – is the 1st house, ruled by Aries. The 1st house is the house of “I” and “me”. It’s where we are on our own, independent and creating our own path in life.

All of us go back and forth in each of these areas, freedom and connection. If we stay too much in the 7th house, we can become co-dependent or afraid to be alone. If we stay too much in the 1st house, we can have a hard time letting people in.

The 1st/7th house axis asks us to lean into balance. It’s time to find the middle ground.

Tonight’s ritual was in honor of Lilith, goddess of witchcraft, sexuality, the moon, independence and empowerment.

Tarot reading

When I pulled cards tonight, I asked only that we be shown what we need to release in order to create stronger relationships to self and others. A Libra Moon is all about relationships.

Here’s the short version of this reading: Let go of your bullshit fear, your old hurt and pain (all the ways you think you’ve been wronged), get back up and get moving. The World is at your feet.

Card 1: The Moon – Illusion, fear, anxiety, subconscious, intuition

The Moon represents your fears and illusions — based on your past experiences. You may have a painful memory that caused distress. Rather than dealing with those emotions, you pushed them down.

Now they are making a reappearance, and you may find yourself under their influence on a conscious or subconscious level. Connect with your subconscious mind and release any fears or anxieties holding you back.

The Moon can indicate a strong need to listen to and trust your intuition so you can see beyond what is in front of you. Feel into situations rather than thinking about what they mean.

Your dreams, intuition and inner guidance system will lead you forward, if you listen and use your judgement to help interpret the messages of the subconscious.

When the Moon card appears in a reading, pay attention to the lunar cycles. Connect with the divine feminine [note: this is Lilith] and uncover deep intuitive insights and visions of what lies beyond everyday life.

On the Full Moon, honour your achievements and look at what you need to release so that new aspects of yourself can shine.

Card 2: 10 of Swords – Painful endings, deep wounds, betrayal, loss, crisis

The Ten of Swords marks a painful, yet inevitable, ending.

A relationship may come to an end. Your business may completely change direction. A contract may be broken. You may be grieving a shocking loss and wonder if you will ever recover.

When the Ten of Swords appears in a reading, you may be the victim of another person’s betrayal or deceit. You may feel stabbed in the back or reeling from someone else’s actions.

The pain inflicted runs deep, not because of what they have done, but because you know deep down that this marks the end of something as you know it.

This card suggests you are taking on the role of victim, hoping others will pity you and save you from despair. You cannot change the actions of another person, but you can change how you respond.

This is about letting go and accepting your current circumstances. You no longer resist change but allow it to happen, even if it causes pain.

The good news is this card marks the end of it. No more pain will come from that source.

Pick yourself up, get the lesson and move on.

When you do this, you will soon see why all of this needed to happen. (Hint: evolution.) The pain has not come without purpose. Use the positive power within you to learn from it and draw wisdom.

Card 3: The World – Completion, integration, accomplishment

When the World card appears in a reading, you have a sense of wholeness, achievement and completion. A long-term project, relationship or business venture has come full circle, and you are now celebrating your accomplishments. Everything came together, and you are in the right place, doing the right thing, achieving what you envisioned.

The World card invites you to reflect on your journey, honor your achievements and tune into your lessons. Celebrate your successes and bask in the joy of having brought your goals to fruition. Express gratitude. And make sure you don’t rush into the next big project.

Celebrating your journey will set you up for success when you are ready for your next challenge.

If you have not quite reached this point of completion, then you are very close. You may still need an added level of understanding to move to a higher level. Look at your past experiences and acknowledge how far you have come and what you learned along the way. This reflection may be what you need to bring your project to its final stages.

Note: I asked what needed to be released.

The answer was clear. Fear, illusion, old wounds and injustices. They are holding you back from success, which is indicated in the last card.
