Full Wolf Moon in Cancer – Jan. 17

Full Wolf Moon in Cancer hit its peak on Monday, Jan. 17, at 6:49 pm EST.

This moon is encouraging us to LET GO…

of old patterns, stuck emotions, behaviors, beliefs, even physical items.

Anything keeping you energetically tied needs to be released.

Right now, higher energies are being amplified, helping us purge all that stuff out.

It’s a fabulous and rare opportunity to let yourself imagine what it would be like to let go of those burdens and let yourself be FREE.

Once you do, with this full moon, things will fall into place very quickly.

Tonight’s Snow Ritual

I used heavy, wet snow gathered during today’s blizzard in order to bring in high energy and power.

Juniper – for cleansing, protection, good luck and health, attracting love and prosperity, and increasing psychic powers

Cedar – for power, longevity, protection, invocation, attracting love and prosperity, and increasing psychic powers

Hibiscus – for love, lust and divination

Snow is water. It’s cold and it’s frozen, but it’s water.

Water is a feminine energy, used for healing, cleansing, and purification.
It’s also related to the West, and associated with passion and emotion.

With each dark candle lit,
I call out hopes and wishes.
I banish despair and sorrow.
I welcome winter’s quiet.

Hierophant – Spiritual wisdom, conformity, tradition

The Hierophant represents an established set of values and beliefs. It’s often correlated with religion or other formal doctrines.

Before you can discover your own belief system, The Hierophant encourages you to learn the fundamental principles from a trusted source.

This card is guiding you to work with a teacher, mentor or guide to show you the values and beliefs (spiritual, religious or otherwise) in a structured way. It could be someone who is an authority, or simply a knowledgeable friend who nurtures your awareness.

This is about helping you access the Divine by understanding traditions and core principles.

You may also be taking on the role of teacher or mentor to others. In this position, you are honoring and acknowledging your responsibility to share your knowledge in a structured way — one that respects the age-old traditions.

This card suggests you are not yet willing to go out on a limb or offer any new and innovative ideas. Instead, you adhere to the key principles and rules you know will lead to success.

You are being asked to commit to practice in its most intact form – no customization, no adaptation, no bending the rules.

If you have been lacking ritual and tradition, create a regular practice. Consider exploring your spiritual or religious heritage.

Summary:

This card is about the journey of self-help. With the full moon in Cancer and emotions running high, it suggests you commit to yourself and your happiness.

Stand strong and you might also be sought out for some advice. Your empathy and knowledge can attract admiration and respect from those around you.

After you’ve released your fears and resistance, it seems you have a clear path forward.
